Ingeborg Bachmann, gelegentliches Pseudonym Ruth Keller, (* 25. Juni 1926 in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee; † 17. Oktober 1973 in Rom, Italien) war eine österreichische Schriftstellerin. Sie gilt als eine der bedeutendsten deutschsprachigen Lyrikerinnen und Prosaschriftstellerinnen des 20. Jahrhunderts. Ihr zu Ehren wird seit 1977 jährlich der Ingeborg-Bachmann-Preis verliehen.
